3 morning tips to leave the house feeling and looking a solid 10/10

Men.. we like to jump out of bed, complete the 3 s's (if you don't know, google it, I am not explaining right here), put whatever we can find into our hair and leave for work.

We seem to think that because we are men we shouldn't look after our appearance or take pride in how we look when we leave the house, therefore, we leave looking  like poor old Ian Beale here..

Sorry Ian.

But seriously, with some quick, easy and effortless morning routine changes you can feel like you have hours spare in the morning to do all of that exciting stuff that you have planned.. No? Nothing planned? have a second breakfast then.

Below I am going to give you my top 3 tips for skyrocketing your morning productivity which will just simply slide into your routine!

Tip Numero Uno:

Image result for morning coffeeCoffee, instantly, before even waking up, coffee..

Googling morning coffee will fill you with horror stories of the caffeine disturbing your daily rhythms because of the high cortisol levels first thing in the morning. People also argue that this will build a greater tolerance for caffeinated drinks. However, when daily intake is controlled I have found from personal experience that this morning coffee allows me to instantly get up, get out and get things done. These studies also do not take into account the other 2 times during the day in which cortisol peaks (midday and evening).

I don't know about anyone else but the simple act of getting out of bed to me is the hardest thing since saying 'I don't have any change' to the guys selling the big issue. Changing my morning coffee from ~30 minutes after waking to buying a bedside coffee maker has been a complete game changer. I have this one (below) and its incredible, check it out, the link it below the photo.

Tip number 2:

Get into the habit of preparing the following days breakfast AND lunch the night before with absolutely no excuses. A hearty breakfast sets you up for a good day.

This has been a huge one for me.. For years I would wake up, shower, get ready and then be left with minus 8 minutes to eat breakfast and get to the front door. Probably wont happen, right?

Nowadays, I still get up at the same time as I would have done beforehand but because everything is ready, my morning is just so streamlined that I have plenty of time to have a leisurely start to the day.

Below I have linked a couple of great ideas for breakfast that take a little more time but would be perfect for days when you know you have a long tough day ahead.

And finally, tip number 3:

Plan what you are wearing for the next day and know EXACTLY where it is..

It has always been thought of as a female trait to change outfits 10 times before stepping out the door but, however much we want to condemn them for it, we are just as guilty. We guys change and change and change, and then change one final time back to the first outfit. Simple organisation can get rid of this morning-time trouble.

By (either mentally of physically) organizing the next days outfit you will cut out that time draining period where you are just stood in front of your wardrobe thinking of why you bought so many vile outfits. Or is that just me?

Personally, I lay out the next days outfit on the floor so once I have showered, everything is sorted and ready to go. This has been the dream waking up and just being able to barely think for the first hour or so!

Let me know what you all think!
